Harnessing our immune system to combat cancer - LIMITED RETURNS AVAILABLE ON THE DOOR

Sunday 20 March: 2:30pm - 3:15pm

Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, Robinson Way, CB2 0RE

Cytotoxic T cells are white blood cells with remarkable properties - upon recognition of cancer cells these immune cells can develop into specialised serial killers that can rapidly eliminate cancerous targets.

Our speaker, Dr Maike de la Roche from CRUK CI studies what controls the development and the killing potential of cytotoxic T cells using live-imaging and molecular biology approaches in order to develop novel strategies to enhance our bodies' very own anti-cancer defence mechanism.
