Each year, 14 million people are diagnosed with cancer and 8 million people die of the disease. These numbers are increasing and will reach 22 million annual worldwide cancer diagnoses by 2030. Professor Richard J Gilbertson discusses this enormous challenge and how patients, healthcare professionals and the research community work together every day to kill cancer.
