The Raspberry Pi mini computer and Arduino micro-controllers have made electronics and programming more accessible for the general public. They have also become a great tool for scientists and engineers to develop their own low cost laboratory equipment. Most modern electronic sensors are built around the same basic principles: convert the analog sensor signal into digital data, process the data and display the result.

Learn how to build a digital thermometer using just a few bits of electronics and an Arduino micro-controller. No previous electronics or programming knowledge required.
