Saturday 16 March: 10:00am - 4:00pm

Department of Engineering, Seminar Room, James Dyson Building, Trumpington Street, CB2 1PZ

Come and learn about Civil Engineering concepts the fun way with our 4 games.
Survive the Tsunami: Build defences in a time crunch to protect your coastal city from an oncoming dramatic tsunami of balls! Understand how Water and Environmental Engineering plays a part when building infrastructure like dams and bridges.

Build a Tensegrity sculpture: Test your Engineering skills using pure tension and compression to hold up wooden struts and create your own gravity defying Tensegrity sculpture. Learn about how these architechturally beautiful, flexible and lightweight tensegrity structures can be applied to building stadium roofs or dome structures.

Stay Grounded – learn how soil and water interact to support and influence the stability of building structures.

Play a construction-themed game on our 64in interactive smartboard.
