St Catharine's College, Ramsden Room, Trumpington Street, CB2 1RL

2019 is the 150th anniversary of Dimitry Mendeleev's periodic system of the elements.

St Catharine's College is proud to host an exhibition that includes Mendeleev's very first published table, as well as versions from other scientists who independently came up with their own systems around the same time. Perhaps one of the most remarkable items on view is the very first ever Periodic Table, the incredibly rare 'telluric screw' of Béguyer de Chancourtois which appeared some seven years before Mendeleev's.

The exhibition runs until early April for those of you who are unable to visit during the Festival.
