Nicky and Clive Live

Saturday 14 March: 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Department of Psychology, Lecture Theatre, Downing Street, CB2 3EB

Nicky Clayton is the Professor of Comparative Cognition in the Department of Psychology at the University of Cambridge, a Fellow of the Royal Society and Scientist in Residence at Rambert, the UK’s flagship touring contemporary dance company.

Clive Wilkins is Artist in Residence in the Department of Psychology at the University of Cambridge, a position he has held for the past eight years, and a Member of the Magic Circle.

They met on a dance floor: a tango milonga in fact. They are both Visiting Professors at Nanjing Institute of Technology and Beijing Language and Culture University.

Join Nicky and Clive for a talk and Q+A that explores the ways in which they integrate science, art and the performing arts to explore the subjective experience of thinking with and without words, and what this reveals about the cognitive road blocks in cognition.
