Sunday 17 March: 2:00pm - 2:30pm

Botanic Garden, 1 Brookside, CB2 1JE

Science on Sundays is a programme of informal, monthly drop-in talks at the Garden which run from March - August. Since its foundation, Cambridge University Botanic Garden has been a focus and stimulus for science in the University. This series of short science talks, curated by Professor Beverley Glover, Director of the Garden, aims to bring the latest discoveries in plant science to a wider audience. The talks are free, but normal garden admission charges do apply.

The Series of talks launches with Dr Raymond Wightman explaining how a research collaboration with the Garden, focussing on the alpine collection and using some of the latest microscopy techniques, has yielded fascinating new insights into the inner workings of these plants.
