Ensembles and embryos

Saturday 23 March: 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Newnham College, The Old Labs , Sidgwick Avenue, CB3 9DF

Music is artistic, biology is disciplined. Right? Explore the extraordinary parallels between making music and making an embryo in this interactive performance with Eva Higginbotham and Adam McDonagh, featuring live music and stories of the beginning of life.

How does an embryo develop into a baby? Why do so many pop songs sound so similar? And how can each question help us understand the meaning of the other?

Join us on the 23rd of March for 'Ensembles and Embryos'. Expect music, mirth, and a celebration of the magic that occurs when a scientist and a musician are forced to work together.
